Class Registration, Payment & Cancellation Policy
Calmnology is committed to providing high-quality classes and educational experiences while maintaining policies that are fair and consistent for participants and instructors. Class sizes, instructor time, materials, and other resources are planned based on advance registrations.
By registering for a class, participants agree to the following terms.
Payment and Registration
Payment is due at the time of registration unless other arrangements have been specifically approved by Calmnology.
Class registrations are non-refundable, except when Calmnology cancels or materially reschedules a class as described below.
Registration is for the individual registered and may not be transferred to another person without prior approval from Calmnology.
Participant Cancellations and Class Credits
If you are unable to attend a class for which you have registered, please notify Calmnology as soon as possible.
Cancellation With at Least 48 Hours’ Notice
When notice is received at least 48 hours before the scheduled class, you may receive a class credit equal to the actual dollar amount paid for your registration.
The credit may be applied toward another eligible Calmnology class occurring within 90 days of the originally scheduled class date.
If the new class costs more than the available credit, you are responsible for the difference.
If the new class costs less than the available credit, the remaining balance may be applied toward another eligible class occurring before the original credit expiration date.
Cancellation With Less Than 48 Hours’ Notice
For standard-price registrations, cancellations received less than 48 hours before the scheduled class are not eligible for a class credit, except at Calmnology’s discretion under the Special Circumstances provision below.
No-Shows
For standard-price registrations, failure to attend a scheduled class without notice results in forfeiture of the registration fee and no class credit will be issued, except at Calmnology’s discretion.
Different provisions apply to registrations discounted by 40% or more, as described below.
Promotional and Heavily Discounted Registrations
Registrations purchased using a coupon, promotion, or other discount of 40% or more are subject to special rescheduling and credit terms.
If you are unable to attend the scheduled class — including a late cancellation or no-show — you may choose one of the following:
Same-Class Rescheduling:
Your original registration, including its promotional value, may be applied toward a future offering of the exact same class within the applicable credit period.
Alternate-Class Credit:
You may instead apply a credit equal to the actual dollar amount paid toward another eligible Calmnology class within the applicable credit period.
For example, if a class normally priced at $100 was purchased for $50 through a promotional offer, you may apply the original registration toward another offering of that same class without paying the $50 promotional difference. If you choose a different class instead, your available credit is $50.
Promotional discounts do not become general-purpose discounts and cannot be transferred to a different class.
If an alternate class costs more than the available cash-value credit, you are responsible for the difference. If it costs less, any unused cash-value credit remains available until the original expiration date.
Promotional registrations and credits have no cash value, are non-refundable when the participant initiates the cancellation or misses the class, and may not be transferred to another person.
Credit Expiration
Unless otherwise specifically stated in the class registration materials, class credits and rescheduling privileges must be used for a class occurring within 90 days of the originally scheduled class date.
Credits are based on the amount actually paid and not the regular or advertised price of the original class.
Unused credits expire at the end of the applicable credit period and have no cash or refund value.
Classes Canceled or Rescheduled by Calmnology
If Calmnology cancels a class for any reason, registered participants may choose:
- a full refund of the amount actually paid; or
- a reschedule or full credit toward another eligible Calmnology class.
If Calmnology materially changes the scheduled date or time of a class and the new schedule does not work for you, the same options apply.
The 48-hour cancellation requirement does not apply when the cancellation or schedule change is initiated by Calmnology. This applies even when a cancellation or schedule change occurs on the day of the class.
These provisions apply equally to registrations purchased using coupons or promotional discounts.
Any refund is limited to the amount actually paid. Coupons, promotional discounts, and other reductions in price have no refundable cash value.
Class Recordings, Privacy and Intellectual Property
Unless specifically stated in the class description or registration materials, Calmnology classes are not recorded.
Classes may include participant questions, discussions, personal experiences, demonstrations, and other interactions intended to remain within the learning environment. Calmnology also seeks to protect the intellectual property of its instructors and educational materials.
Participants should therefore not expect a recording to be available if they are unable to attend a scheduled class.
If a class will be recorded, that will be identified in the class description or registration information, along with any applicable terms concerning access to or use of the recording.
Participants may not independently record, reproduce, distribute, livestream, publish, or otherwise capture class sessions or instructional materials without prior authorization from Calmnology and, where applicable, the instructor.
The absence of a class recording does not alter Calmnology’s cancellation, rescheduling, credit, or no-show policies.
Special Circumstances
Calmnology understands that emergencies and unexpected circumstances can occur.
Exceptions to this policy may be considered on an individual basis at Calmnology’s sole discretion. An exception granted in one situation does not modify this policy or guarantee an exception in another situation.
Agreement to Policy
By completing a class registration or payment, the participant acknowledges and agrees to this Class Registration, Payment & Cancellation Policy and any additional terms specifically identified for the class being purchased.
