Welcome back to the Arcane Practitioner Series! In Part II, we’re moving beyond the basics and diving deeper into the complexities of magical practice.

Knowing how to construct a spell is one thing. Understanding how to adapt it to a complicated situation, recognize potential problems, evaluate your results, and make informed decisions as a practitioner? That’s where things get interesting.

This series is designed for witches who are ready to move beyond simply following instructions and start thinking more critically, creatively, and strategically about their craft.

We’ll explore advanced magical workings, timing and correspondences, magical problem-solving, troubleshooting unsuccessful workings, ethics and responsibility, and the process of developing a more intentional personal practice.

But we’re not just going to talk about these concepts. We’re going to put them to work.

Throughout the series, we’ll examine real-life examples and practical scenarios, discussing the decisions practitioners face, the approaches they might take, and the factors that influence their choices. We’ll break down situations, evaluate different methods, and explore what we can learn from both successful experiences and the moments when things don’t go according to plan.

You’ll also participate in in-class workings and hands-on exercises, giving you the opportunity to apply what you’re learning, experiment with techniques, and develop your own approach alongside fellow practitioners.

Expect discussion, experimentation, problem-solving, and plenty of opportunities to question the way you’ve always done things.

Because magic isn’t just about memorizing correspondences, collecting tools, or finding the perfect spell in a book.

It’s about understanding your methods, knowing why you’re choosing them, recognizing their limitations, and learning how to adapt when circumstances change.

And no, the answer to every magical problem is not automatically another candle. Sometimes you need a better strategy.
